Technologist - Test/Validation (Python)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Up to 10% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year.

What you will do

• Organize and perform testing activities supporting engine and power systems development and validation programs.
• Support test-cell operations and troubleshoot hardware, software, instrumentation, communication, and automation issues.
• Develop, maintain, test, and deploy automation, data acquisition tools, applications, and interfaces using Visual Basic, Morphee, and Python.
• Lead software deployment and synchronization across laboratory test cells.
• Gather requirements, analyze business needs, and improve testing, validation, automation, standardization, and quality processes.
• Collaborate with validation, performance, emissions, instrumentation, facilities, supplier, customer, and global technical teams.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Mossville, Illinois.
• Five or more years of laboratory experience preferred for the initial hiring round.
• Experience with automation in a test facility or laboratory and familiarity with engine laboratory operations and testing processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with testing, validation, data acquisition software, instrumentation, and laboratory systems.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring or potentially requiring employer-specific sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field.
• Experience with Morphee, Python, Visual Basic, C#, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on diesel-engine experience and experience supporting engine laboratories, factory support, or engineering environments.
