Senior General Test Engineer (AI-First, TypeScript/Playwright)

What you will do

• Review project requirements, specifications, and product functionality to define quality control artifacts and test scenarios.
• Design, develop, execute, refactor, and optimize automated tests for APIs, backend services, and frontend applications.
• Build and maintain test data, test environments, automation frameworks, and supporting administration tools.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, monitor results, and document deviations from expected behavior.
• Establish and improve QA processes, testing standards, coverage analysis, metrics, and test effort estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and the customer on specifications, acceptance criteria, test documentation, and overall product quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience across manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience with API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience designing automation frameworks for API and backend testing and extending coverage to frontend applications.
• Practical experience using AI and LLM tools for test design, test generation, code generation, refactoring, debugging, and maintenance.
• Experience with test architecture, mocking strategies, test data management, CI/CD integration, and greenfield QA processes.
• Spanish: Advanced; English: Upper-Intermediate.

• Familiarity with AI agents, skills and tools, MCP, hooks, and agentic automation workflows.
