Senior Software Test Automation Engineer (Agentic AI)

Location: Coppell, Texas, United States; hybrid work with in-person interviews and possible onsite attendance at a hirify.global office

Salary: $71,300–$124,500 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, and integration tests for web applications and cloud-native services.
• Build and enhance test automation frameworks with Playwright, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Define testable requirements and quality strategies with product, engineering, and platform teams.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Analyze test results, improve coverage and regression effectiveness, and support release readiness.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools for test design, maintenance, defect investigation, and quality improvement while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, SDET, or a related role.
• Strong experience building automated UI, API, and integration tests.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python, with experience in Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Agile environments and CI/CD practices, plus strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and technology-adoption skills.

Nice to have

• Experience testing React applications and customer-facing workflows.
• Experience with Node.js, .NET, Java, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in performance, accessibility, security, or reliability testing; familiarity with BDD or spec-driven development.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, or agent-based engineering workflows.
• Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.
