Electrical Engineer 4 (Nuclear Power)

Location: Onsite in Tonopah, Arizona, supporting Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station

Salary: $114,960–$172,440 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical guidance and oversight for electrical engineering components on assigned projects.
• Develop design criteria, specifications, scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate electrical design activities across disciplines and work with client personnel.
• Review drawings and technical documentation for accuracy, code compliance, constructability, and quality.
• Support field assignments and factory inspections to verify quality and project compliance.
• Lead and supervise project teams and perform power system studies, including short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Eligibility and acceptance by the State Board of Engineers for Professional Engineer licensure; an active PE license is strongly preferred.
• Experience with medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, power distribution, heat tracing, and electrical area classification.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NEMA, and NFPA codes and standards.
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Recap, SKM, and ETAP.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer license.
