Senior Technical Manager

Location: On-site in Neenah, Wisconsin or Stevens Point, Wisconsin, with regular travel between Whiting Mill, Neenah Mill, and Neenah Converting Center

What you will do

• Lead safety, quality, and technical improvement initiatives across three specialty paper and packaging facilities.
• Modify existing mill processes and introduce new processes to improve quality and profitability.
• Investigate customer complaints, assign corrective and preventive actions, and coordinate stakeholder communications.
• Manage audits, certifications, supplier and contract manufacturing evaluations, and quality and regulatory requirements for new products and changes.
• Develop and execute capital projects, quality improvement plans, and Quality Management System activities.
• Lead and mentor technical and quality resources while sharing scalable best practices with the global quality organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or another technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality or technical leadership roles.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, analytical, leadership, and change-management skills.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001 and with laboratory, testing, product specification, and nonconforming product processes.
• Ability to travel between facilities and to customer sites when requested.
• Experience with Minitab, Microsoft applications, and ERP systems.

Nice to have

• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 or more years in a manufacturing quality or technical role.
• Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Quality Manager certification.
• Experience with highly regulated management systems in cosmetic or automotive industries.
