2027 Undergraduate Hardware & Product Development Engineering Internships – US (SSD)

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA; San Jose, CA; or other U.S. hirify.global locations based on the internship assignment

Compensation: up to USD 32 per hour

hirify.global develops memory technologies and data center SSD products, combining large-scale technology operations with an entrepreneurial product-development environment.

What you will do

• Support hardware subsystem and component design, evaluation, debugging, schematic review, and board-level bring-up.
• Contribute to new SSD product development from concept and prototyping through release.
• Analyze component- and system-level test data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Use or develop Python scripts and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting automation.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, validation, and product engineering teams.
• Document designs, test methods, technical inputs, requirements, and project deliverables.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Foundational coursework in electrical design, analog and digital electronics, or hardware systems.
• Exposure to a programming or scripting language such as Python and familiarity with Linux-based development or lab environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• This role is not eligible for candidates requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience in circuit analysis, electrical design, hardware evaluation, board-level debugging, or system integration.
• Exposure to data analysis, scripting, automation, or product development processes.
• Interest in data center storage, SSD technology, and hardware or electronic systems.
