Medical Value Access Liaison (Biotech)

Location: Field-based territory covering Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Ohio within the United States

What you will do

• Provide payer and formulary support through medical and value presentations covering therapeutic and economic outcomes, utilization, clinical guidelines, and prior authorization.
• Build and maintain relationships with payer, policy, integrated delivery network, health economics, and outcomes research stakeholders.
• Identify speaker opportunities and support investigator-sponsored economic, humanistic outcome, and clinical studies.
• Provide internal feedback on customer trends involving value evidence, reimbursement, and payer policy.
• Represent Scientific Affairs with designated payer, IDN, and health economics and outcomes research accounts.
• Collect competitive intelligence and manage internal relationships, budgets, and travel and expense activities within compliance guidelines.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a master's degree and 4 years, bachelor's degree and 6 years, associate's degree and 10 years, or high school diploma/GED and 12 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience working directly with U.S. payer accounts, preferably with five years in the biotechnology industry.
• Deep knowledge of managed markets, the U.S. reimbursement landscape, pharmacoeconomics, population health, and healthcare trends.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, negotiation, relationship management, and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead projects from concept to completion and work effectively in a matrix and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Ability to cover the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Ohio territory in a field-based role.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.
• Experience in cardiovascular, metabolic, inflammation, bone, neuro-oncology, or related therapeutic areas.
• Experience in patient access across U.S. or global markets.
