Data Center Implementation Manager

Location: Remote, USA; 50% travel required to various data center sites.

Salary: $191,000–$255,000 annual salary.

What you will do

• Lead multiple concurrent data center projects from detailed design through physical build-out, including greenfield construction, colocation fit-outs, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle replacements.
• Coordinate data center providers, MEP contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants, and internal electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, network, operations, HPC, supply chain, and technical project management teams.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, scope, construction progress, and expenditure reporting.
• Review OFCI equipment submittals, oversee procurement and installation, and support vendor RFPs, proposal evaluation, and vendor selection.
• Participate in design reviews, page-turn meetings, commissioning planning, and assessments of Basis of Design and Sequence of Operations documents.
• Conduct construction site visits, verify design implementation and quality, report progress to stakeholders, and contribute to infrastructure design improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience managing data center construction or critical infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with full-lifecycle data center projects, greenfield builds, colocation fit-outs, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and experience coordinating electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage trades.
• Experience managing OFCI equipment procurement, submittals, installation, construction budgets, schedules, forecasts, and reporting.
• Must be based in the USA; 50% travel to data center sites is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, and construction tracking or reporting platforms.
• Experience integrating emerging technologies and design innovations into data center infrastructure.
