Sr Manager IT - Strategic Initiatives

Location: Hybrid in Springfield, Illinois, or Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Salary: $174,600–$194,000 per year, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead business IT infrastructure operations spanning service desk, ITOC, hosting, databases, servers, storage, ITSM, ITIL, and networking.
• Drive process improvements and adoption of standardized management processes to improve cost and performance.
• Manage an annual IT budget of more than $8 million.
• Maintain application and system support for a product portfolio and oversee minor enhancements.
• Partner with business clients to prioritize investments and deliver small projects.
• Lead committees and forums, communicate technology strategy, and coordinate internal and contract resources, including through extensive domestic and international travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
• Supervisory or managerial experience, including leadership, management, or project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of foundational business processes and IT infrastructure operations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to technical and nontechnical audiences, including senior management.
• Technical, analytical, consulting, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a technical field.
• 10 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Master's degree in Information Systems.
• Experience leading strategically during ambiguity and organizational change.
