Global Trade Compliance Intern

Location: On-site in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

What you will do

• Support the launch of an internal consortium of import and export contacts, especially for new entities.
• Compile global profiles of customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Create trade activity analytics, metrics, and dashboards for global business unit leaders.
• Collect and document free trade requests, raw material tariff codes, and duty rate information.
• Identify and document tariff code discrepancies across multiple data sources.
• Help deploy standard operating procedures, global templates, guidance documents, and a repository for key documents such as powers of attorney.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, data analytics, business finance or economics, global studies, international trade, or a related field.
• Minimum standing as a rising junior or senior.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal forms.
• Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, along with problem-solving and computer skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional languages.
• Ability to navigate SAP.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of the global impact of regulatory or tax-related decisions.
