Senior Trade Compliance Specialist

Location: Chaska, Minnesota, or any hirify.global site in the United States

Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 per year, with actual pay dependent on the candidate

What you will do

• Lead advanced export compliance activities, audits, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee AES submissions, export licensing determinations, applications, renewals, proviso management, and related recordkeeping.
• Support Global Trade Services compliance activities, including system testing, maintenance, blocked-document release, and issue resolution.
• Manage customer and destination screening against denied-party lists, embargoes, and other restricted-party requirements.
• Maintain ECCN classifications, HTS codes, and country-of-origin data across SAP, GTS, and other corporate systems.
• Develop standard operating procedures, monitor compliance KPIs, train stakeholders, and mentor less-experienced team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, Law, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a global manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP GTS or another global trade management system, including screening, licensing, compliance controls, and trade data governance.
• Expertise in export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, ECCN/HTS classification, country of origin, and trade compliance programs.
• Ability to independently manage complex compliance matters, lead projects, influence stakeholders, prioritize competing demands, and meet critical deadlines.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.
