(Senior) Category Manager (m/f/d) (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid role based in Munich, Germany; relocation support is available for moves from more than 300 km away

What you will do

• Own and develop assigned procurement categories, including furniture, from strategy through execution.
• Define category strategies balancing cost, quality, scalability, and supply risk.
• Manage strategic suppliers through sourcing, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes.
• Lead negotiations covering pricing, contracts, service levels, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate procurement with Design, Operations, Planning, and Finance teams.
• Support demand planning, forecasting, order management, process standardization, and data quality improvements.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in procurement, ideally in furniture or hospitality.
• Fluent German is required.
• Strong network and established relationships within the furniture industry.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally.
