Senior Category Manager (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid role based in Munich, Germany, with the option to work fully from the office or partially from home. Relocation support is available for moves to Munich from more than 300 km away. Workation is permitted twice per year for up to four weeks from another country in the European Union.

What you will do

• Own and develop procurement categories end-to-end, including furniture and other relevant areas.
• Define category strategies balancing cost, quality, scalability, and supply risk.
• Manage strategic suppliers from sourcing and onboarding through performance management and exit strategies.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, service levels, and commercial terms.
• Coordinate procurement with Design, Operations, Planning, and Finance teams.
• Improve demand planning, forecasting, order management, procurement processes, systems, and data quality.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in a procurement role, ideally in the furniture or hospitality sector.
• Fluent German is required.
• Strong network and established relationships within the furniture industry.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and maintain quality, delivery, compliance, and cost standards.
