Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical Manufacturing)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States. The position is temporarily based in northeast San Antonio and will permanently move to the Brooks site. This is a 100% in-office role with no remote work.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced manufacturing processes and production systems across new and existing product lines.
• Lead automation, Industry 4.0, and data-driven manufacturing initiatives.
• Act as the technical authority across operations, quality, R&D, and supply chain to improve manufacturability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead kaizen events, root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize production layouts, material flow, takt time, yield, cycle time, scrap rate, and OEE using Lean methods.
• Lead capital projects covering equipment selection, procurement, commissioning, validation, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in high-volume or complex electromechanical production.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Standard Work, process mapping, and statistical process control.
• Experience with CAD software, ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems, automation, robotics, PLCs, machine vision, or other Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods, stand and walk for approximately 40% of the workday, and lift up to 50 lbs.; buddy lifting is required for loads up to 100 lbs.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or advanced technical certification such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Experience with digital manufacturing tools and data analytics.
