Sr. Software Development Engineer (AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; hybrid for employees in the Bellevue or New York areas, with fully remote work available for employees located farther from company offices

What you will do

• Design and develop extensible, testable, and shareable software domains used across multiple engineering projects.
• Lead code quality, architecture, debugging, secure deployments, and complex CI/CD improvements.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering adoption through tooling, pairing, demonstrations, and documentation.
• Improve platform operations by reducing toil, building self-service capabilities, and automating repetitive tasks.
• Lead root cause analysis, domain measurement, scalability improvements, and cloud cost optimization.
• Align cross-functional stakeholders, mentor engineers, and resolve technical and team-level conflicts.

Requirements

• Significant experience developing shareable software features and leading small-to-mid-sized technical initiatives.
• Strong architectural experience redesigning legacy services and building highly reliable APIs and database operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of Platform Engineering, internal developer experience, infrastructure abstraction, and self-service capabilities.
• Expert AWS knowledge, including S3, Lambda, EC2, and IAM.
• Professional experience with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, RabbitMQ or a similar message broker, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and CircleCI.
• Experience identifying incident trends and introducing broad systemic solutions.
