Associate Project Manager (Fintech)

Location: Onsite at the Axos HQ in San Diego, California; remote work is not available.

Salary: $70,304–$81,500 per year, plus eligible discretionary annual cash and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 10% each.

What you will do

• Manage small initiatives independently and support larger projects through planning, execution, and closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, track milestones, and maintain project schedules.
• Communicate with stakeholders, provide status updates, gather feedback, and support alignment.
• Identify risks and issues, support mitigation and corrective actions, and escalate complex matters.
• Track budgets, resources, quality metrics, project performance, documentation, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or in a related role.
• Understanding of requirements gathering, process mapping, and workflow documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and Asana.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools; employment is contingent on credit, criminal background, and drug screening.

Nice to have

• CBAP, CCBA, CAPM, or PMP certification.
• Experience with change management and process improvement initiatives.
