Manager, Sales and Business Development (West Coast) (Biologics and Drug Product)

Location: USA, California, remote; based on or willing to be based on the West Coast; up to 50% travel across the territory and periodic national travel to conferences and hirify.global sites

Salary: $110,000–$147,500 per year base pay, plus an annual cash bonus program

What you will do

• Build and manage a self-generated pipeline of new business across West Coast pharma and biotech companies.
• Prospect for preclinical, clinical, and commercial opportunities through networks, referrals, marketing campaigns, lead-generation platforms, and inbound leads.
• Own the full sales cycle for biologics and drug product services, including qualification, value propositions, pricing, proposals, contract negotiation, and close.
• Develop trust-based relationships with scientific, technical, and executive decision-makers and represent hirify.global at conferences and industry events.
• Partner with Marketing, Commercial Development, inside sales, Operations, and Strategic teams to convert leads and structure deals.
• Maintain Salesforce opportunity data, forecasts, activity reports, market intelligence, and competitor updates.

Requirements

• Progressive experience in CDMO or CDMO-adjacent sales, business development, or technical account management, with a record of generating and closing new business.
• Working knowledge of biologics drug substance and/or drug product development and manufacturing, including fill/finish.
• Hunter mentality, self-direction, hirify.global, and the ability to build pipeline in a new or underdeveloped territory.
• Strong relationship-building and consultative-selling skills with scientific and commercial stakeholders.
• Experience with CDMO contract structures and business models, including fee-for-service and clinical or commercial supply agreements.
• Must be based on or willing to be based on the West Coast and able to travel up to 50% within the territory.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant CDMO or CDMO-adjacent sales, business development, or technical account management experience.
• Existing relationships within West Coast biotech and pharma organizations.
• Experience selling biologics or drug product development and manufacturing services.
• Ability to coach technical staff and proposal or project management partners in client-facing business development.
