Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician (Industrial Engineering)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey; onsite five days per week. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Hourly rate: $41–$54, with potential eligibility for additional bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on ultrasonic and radio-frequency welders, laser cutters, filtration systems, air compressors, supply lines, deionizing air guns, computer-controlled photographic cameras, and heat sealers.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop, track, and optimize preventive-maintenance schedules for process machinery.
• Troubleshoot unplanned equipment issues and communicate problems promptly.
• Execute machine upgrades and testing while maintaining production quality and safety.
• Partner with Engineering and Production to implement maintenance logs, standard procedures, best practices, and operator-led maintenance.
• Identify root causes and opportunities for equipment and process improvements.

Requirements

• At least six years of relevant maintenance technician experience.
• Hands-on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work in deadline-sensitive environments while maintaining quality standards.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English; basic math and computer skills, including email, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds and work around machinery noise and variable warehouse temperatures.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; e-Verify is used for employment verification.

Nice to have

• Experience as a mechanic, service technician, machinist, or in a similar role.
• Associate degree in Machining or Welding Technology, Mechatronics Technology, or Facility/Industrial Maintenance Technology.
