Program Director, Surgical Services (Healthcare Education)

What you will do

• Own day-to-day operations for Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing programs across online learning, in-person skills labs, and clinical education.
• Protect NCCT program approval and applicable state regulatory standing while improving certification pass rates, graduation rates, and job placement.
• Hire, onboard, manage, coach, and develop full-time staff and contractor or adjunct instructors.
• Manage relationships with healthcare employer partners across multiple states and lead client site visits and clinical skills calibration.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams to maintain industry-relevant content and oversee student progress, advising, and completion support.
• Experiment with AI tools and other technologies to improve workflows, reporting, and student outcomes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of teaching surgical technology, including course delivery, assessment, and student support.
• Active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist or NCCT TS-C certification.
• 5+ years of clinical or operational experience in surgical technology, sterile processing, or a related surgical services field.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare education, training program administration, or clinical operations with instructional oversight.
• Experience leading teams, including contractors or adjunct instructors, and working with enterprise clients, clinical sites, or healthcare employer partners.
• Must be based in the United States and able to travel occasionally to employer partner clinical sites.

Nice to have

• Experience in EdTech or online or hybrid healthcare training environments.
• Participation in NCCT program reviews, accreditation processes, or state authorization compliance activities.
• Dual certification in surgical technology and sterile processing.
