Facilities Maintenance Manager, Licensed Mechanical Contractor

Location: North Miami Beach, Florida, United States; approximately 50% or more travel within the region is required.

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is also stated.

What you will do

• Oversee predictive and preventative maintenance for facilities across a regional area.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of facility maintenance technicians.
• Work with Store Managers, Facility Services leadership, vendors, and contractors to address facility-service needs.
• Prepare reports and analytics and perform root-cause and breakdown analysis.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor compliance, quality, and scope-of-work performance.
• Obtain permits, schedule inspections, and maintain required contractor licenses.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of facilities services or building maintenance experience, or 5 years of relevant facilities, construction, mechanical maintenance, or engineering experience; alternatively, a related bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical systems.
• Mechanical Contractor License or equivalent in the state of employment; a current Florida HVAC/R Contractor license is required for Florida work.
• EPA 608 Certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Leadership, communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain licenses, comply with applicable mechanical and building codes, and support regulatory inspections.

Nice to have

• Building controls experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Maintenance Supervisor experience in an optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
• PMP Certification, Lean Six Sigma, and additional EPA refrigerant-handling certifications.
