Manufacturing Engineer (Automotive)

Salary: $94,400–$138,400 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and validate manufacturing processes, methods, tooling, equipment, and controls.
• Analyze labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, manufacturing space, and line layouts to improve productivity.
• Support prototype builds, production launches, and new program implementation.
• Evaluate and implement manufacturing technologies and process improvements focused on cost, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in product design reviews and act as a technical resource for manufacturability, process changes, and problem-solving teams.
• Coordinate training, maintain stakeholder communication, and support production performance targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related manufacturing role; automotive experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD modeling software for detailed drawings, assemblies, and production-ready designs.
• Experience with MODAPTS for work measurement, labor analysis, and process improvement.
• Hands-on experience implementing manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and controls, with knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and Operator Instruction Sheets.
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, supported by strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
