What you will do

• Report breaking news, enterprise stories, and locally relevant content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Produce, write, voice, shoot, edit, and feed news content in a clear and engaging format.
• Research events, public records, and background information; arrange interviews and verify facts.
• Pitch story ideas, develop leads, and collaborate with assignment editors, producers, and news leadership.
• Perform live shots, contribute daily to digital platforms, and engage with viewers on social media.
• Work autonomously from a bureau while meeting editorial, accuracy, and production standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib.
• At least two years of news reporting experience and a strong on-air presence.
• Ability to shoot broadcast-quality video, edit reports, and deliver content to the station.
• Strong time management, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; flexibility to work any shift.
