Senior Financial Analyst, Cost Accounting

Salary: $58,000–$125,000 annually

What you will do

• Direct cost accounting policies, controls, reporting, and allocation methodologies across business segments and legal entities.
• Deliver market- and product-level profitability analysis to support margin optimization and leadership decisions.
• Build driver-based financial models connecting membership growth, staffing, vendor spend, P&L, and cash.
• Support monthly close activities, including accruals, allocations, variance analysis, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Develop business cases and ROI analyses for vendors, build-versus-buy decisions, market expansion, and headcount investments.
• Improve and standardize cost processes, controls, reporting tools, and self-service analysis while supporting audit and regulatory requests.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of finance and/or accounting experience.
• Hands-on cost accounting experience with allocation methodologies, cost center design, unit or product-level costing, and defensible financial calculations.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including work with large and imperfect datasets, AI, and/or BI platforms.
• Deep understanding of ERP or planning systems, or experience building a cost allocation model from scratch.
• Ability to explain financial results clearly, challenge assumptions constructively, and work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
