Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Belvidere, Illinois, USA; onsite facility role

Salary: $119,300–$178,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term variable incentives.

What you will do

• Lead a multi-year quality transformation from Quality Control through Quality Assurance to operational excellence.
• Set and maintain quality standards aligned with customer, regulatory, and hirify.global Quality Management System requirements.
• Own plant quality outcomes, including customer experience metrics, compliance, continuous improvement, and cost-of-quality reduction.
• Partner with plant functions, corporate quality teams, and suppliers to resolve issues and improve products and processes.
• Establish quality goals, metrics, inspection and test methods, and standard tools while driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Report performance to senior leadership and customers, coach teams, and manage resources against quality and business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive engineering experience focused on quality management.
• At least two years of experience leading, mentoring, and coaching individuals and teams.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience with SAP, Oracle, or an equivalent system, plus working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Expertise in Lean principles, continuous improvement, cost reduction, and quality tools such as APQP, A3, 8D, 5 Whys, and stage-gate product development.
• Analytical, data-driven decision-making skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, Quality Manager or Quality Engineer certification, and/or Six Sigma expertise.
• Experience in high-mix/low-volume and high-volume/low-mix manufacturing environments.
• Experience working in global, matrixed organizations and collaborating across sites and functions.
