Manager, Allocations (Retail Inventory)

What you will do

• Guide analysts in developing seasonal allocation strategies using historical sales, geography, store size, and customer preferences.
• Partner with Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams on seasonal sets, refreshes, and marketed events.
• Monitor store sales, sell-through rates, and inventory performance, adjusting strategies throughout each season.
• Identify and mitigate overstock, stockout, slow-moving inventory, and excess inventory write-off risks.
• Oversee collaboration with Data Science on dynamic Power BI dashboards and turn large datasets into actionable plans.
• Train, manage, and develop a team of allocation analysts while providing updates on allocation effectiveness.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in inventory management.
• Experience leading, delegating to, coaching, and evaluating a team.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment and formulate business recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
