TL;DR

Field Service Engineer (Diagnostics): Troubleshooting, installing, validating, maintaining, and repairing Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment across the Raleigh/Durham territory with an accent on electromechanical systems, robotics, electronics, and customer support. Focus on resolving complex equipment issues, completing preventive maintenance, maintaining service records, and traveling throughout the territory.

Location: Remote from home while covering the Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina territory; position is located in Fayetteville, NC. Requires 100% travel within the territory or assigned locations, including some overnight visits.

Salary: $33–$36 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

Troubleshoot, install, validate, modify, maintain, and repair Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment.
Provide efficient customer service and technical training on products.
Maintain customer service logs and internal records, order repair parts, and meet service cycle times.
Use OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and team objectives.
Communicate with internal and external customers and support the training of newer Field Service Engineers.

Requirements

Associate degree in a technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related field, or equivalent military experience.
At least one year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic, or instrumentation equipment.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
Ability to travel 100% within the assigned territory or locations and work occasional overnight visits.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or sitting.

Nice to have

Three or more years of advanced troubleshooting experience.
Experience developing customer relationships that improve satisfaction and retention.
