Field Service Engineer II (Medical Devices)

Location: Remote from Orlando or Jacksonville, Florida, United States; up to 90% domestic and occasional international travel with overnight stays.

Salary: $30.00–$43.00 per hour, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, modify, and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments.
• Troubleshoot service issues across one or two instrument groups.
• Complete service administration and documentation in accordance with ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
• Support service-contract sales and assist with system configurations and upgrades.
• Provide feedback to improve service revenue and financial performance.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and 3+ years of field service or related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in science and 1+ year of experience; or equivalent military experience.
• Experience working with mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic, or related instruments.
• Must be based in Orlando or Jacksonville, Florida, and able to travel up to 90% by air and/or car.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform prolonged standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, stair climbing, and reaching.

Nice to have

• Experience diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments.
• Field service engineering or networking and IT system-upgrade experience.
• Experience in a laboratory or hospital environment.
