Senior Business Analyst

Location: Stirling or Edinburgh office, hybrid 2–3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead complex business analysis across programmes, portfolios, and the full delivery lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into actionable requirements and implementable solution designs.
• Define and validate functional, non-functional, API, integration, and data-flow requirements.
• Work with Product Owners, Service Design, Change, Architecture, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Assess solutions against business value, technical feasibility, quality, and risk.
• Coach and mentor Business Analysts while contributing to BA standards, strategy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong business analysis experience in complex technology, change, or digital delivery environments.
• Experience analysing complex systems, integrations, and data flows.
• Experience defining and documenting API, integration, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Commitment to developing BA standards, capability, and consistent ways of working.

Nice to have

• Experience in UK financial services, Life, Pensions, or regulated technology environments.
• Knowledge of Sonata, Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, or Dynamic Planner.
• Experience coaching or mentoring Business Analysts.
• Understanding of QA, DevOps, and delivery pipelines.
• BCS certification or equivalent.
