Counsel (Aerospace)

Location: In-person at the Torrance, California headquarters; the role requires eligibility to access information controlled by U.S. export-control regulations.

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including procurement and supply-chain agreements, subcontracts, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, and purchase orders.
• Partner with the Supply Chain team on supplier negotiations and issues involving intellectual property disputes, late delivery, and contractual specifications.
• Support corporate and finance matters, including cap table management.
• Streamline the NDA process by refreshing templates, defining escalation points, centralizing documents, and accelerating the NDA lifecycle.
• Create document-storage protocols and centralized sources of truth for contracts, NDAs, and other key legal documents.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Membership in the California State Bar is required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience at a corporate law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Direct experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and NDAs.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, customs, import regulations, and procurement or supply-chain compliance matters.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export-control license.

Nice to have

• In-house legal experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Active security clearance.
• Knowledge of ITAR and EAR.
