Electrician - Operations and Maintenance (Solar PV)

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, test, troubleshoot, install, remove, and maintain equipment at commercial and utility solar facilities.
• Maintain solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
• Read instruction manuals, blueprints, and control-system drawings under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
• Complete work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, and material requests.
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers in safe tool use and maintenance procedures.
• Participate in occasional after-hours and weekend call-outs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industrial solar electrical or electronic maintenance experience.
• Current Journeyman’s Electrical License or registration as an electrician with the state of Massachusetts.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electricity and voltage/current relationships in AC and DC circuits.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, ladder work, and working with hands and arms at height for extended periods.

• Knowledge of Solar PV systems.
