Solar Electrician (Solar PV)

Location: Albany, New York, United States; onsite solar operations and maintenance work

Salary: $37.01–$53.60 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, repair, test, troubleshoot, install, remove, and maintain solar site equipment.
• Work with solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
• Read instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
• Complete work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests, and other required records.
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers in safe tool use and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to occasional after-hours and weekend callouts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industrial solar electrical or electronic maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license in good standing issued by the state of residence.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of electricity and voltage/current relationships in AC and DC circuits.
• Ability to complete training and testing requirements and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders and working at height.
• Must work in the Albany, New York area.
