Senior Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Remote, London / EMEA

Salary: £126,000–£136,000 GBP per year, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and develop an engineering organization of senior, staff, and principal engineers.
• Define technical strategy and roadmaps for video creation, upload, broadcast, processing, editing, and viewing systems.
• Drive architectural decisions for reliable, scalable, high-performance, low-latency distributed systems.
• Embed AI-first tools, automation, agentic development environments, automated testing, and telemetry into engineering workflows.
• Coordinate delivery priorities, technical trade-offs, and business risks with Product, Infrastructure, Design, and executive stakeholders.
• Improve engineering velocity, observability, platform resilience, and incident resolution times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience with complex distributed systems.
• 4+ years of direct people management experience leading senior, staff, or principal engineers.
• Software development experience with JavaScript, Python, C#, or Java.
• Architecture expertise in distributed, highly available production environments.
• Applied experience with AI-first engineering practices and agentic development environments such as Claude Code.
