IT Infrastructure Engineer - Network

Location: Mississauga, Canada; hybrid work with at least 2 days in the office per week and on-site support for campus network environments.

Salary: CAD 79,000–127,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, administer, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure components.
• Support campus, data center, and WAN network environments across project and operational work.
• Troubleshoot firewall connectivity requests, VPN tunnels, and other network and security issues.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and system owners to define requirements, assess feasibility and costs, and recommend network designs.
• Provide technical training and support to users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
• Participate in after-hours changes and a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience across network and security disciplines, including routing and switching, data centers, wireless, VPN, virtualization, disaster recovery, high availability, and cloud services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE, F5 load balancing, SD-WAN, MPLS, and enterprise network design.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, VRF, VSS, VPC, IPv4, IPv6, IPsec VPN, IPS, IDS, SSL decryption, URL filtering, and QoS.
• Experience with network monitoring, packet capture analysis, scripting, and network automation using Python, VBScript, or PowerShell.
• Must successfully complete and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Clearance (PERC).

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AWS VPCs, security groups, Direct Connect, and multi-cloud environments including Azure and GCP.
• Familiarity with NIST standards and controls.
