Senior Manager/Director, Legal Operations

Location: Remote in the United States or San Jose, California

Annual salary: USD 150,000–180,000

What you will do

• Own legal intake, request triage, status tracking, signatures, and contract administration.
• Lead implementation of the first CLM system, including workflows, templates, approvals, integrations, reporting, and renewals.
• Build playbooks and templates for NDAs, vendor, retail, distribution, licensing, employment, and contractor agreements.
• Maintain corporate governance records, board materials, minute books, equity documentation, entity management, and trademark calendars.
• Administer outside counsel and vendor relationships, budgets, billing, document repositories, and records retention.
• Establish legal metrics and support privacy, Trust & Safety, hardware compliance, and trade documentation operations.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate or contracts paralegal work, or a similar operational role.
• Experience building processes, systems, and governance rhythms in a high-growth environment.
• Hands-on experience administering a CLM or comparable workflow system such as Ironclad, SpotDraft, or DocuSign CLM.
• Experience supporting corporate governance, entity management, and preferably international or multi-entity structures.
• Strong project management, organization, judgment, discretion, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Curiosity about applying AI and automation to legal operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer hardware, consumer electronics, gaming, toys, or children's products.
• Familiarity with retail and distribution contracts, brand and IP licensing, or international expansion.
• Experience supporting fundraising, boards, or investor reporting at a venture-backed company.
• Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one.
• Exposure to COPPA, privacy, product safety, or import-export compliance.
