Director, Legal Operations (Gaming)

Location: Hybrid position based in the Culver City, California, United States hub

Annual base salary: $160,000–$176,000 USD for candidates in California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, and Washington; equity, bonuses, and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Lead the Legal Operations function and define its strategy, operating model, technology roadmap, governance framework, budget, and performance infrastructure.
• Manage, coach, and develop the Sr. Manager, Legal Operations, who owns day-to-day Ironclad CLM, knowledge management, and AI implementation.
• Own the Legal technology portfolio across CLM, knowledge management, matter management, e-billing, contract analytics, automation, and related tools.
• Establish governance for workflows, metadata, templates, permissions, integrations, data retention, system access, and change management.
• Develop AI and automation use cases, oversee responsible adoption, and measure adoption, response quality, time savings, and user experience improvements.
• Build intake, triage, self-service, reporting, and performance-management frameworks that improve contracting efficiency, capacity, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in Legal Operations, legal technology, business operations, process transformation, consulting, or a related field.
• Experience leading or building Legal Operations in a high-growth technology, gaming, entertainment, digital media, or similarly complex global company.
• At least 3–5 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing professionals.
• Experience with enterprise CLM programs, including Ironclad or a comparable platform, with technical depth in architecture, workflows, data governance, integrations, controls, and adoption.
• Experience managing budgets and vendors, evaluating technology investments, and overseeing legal technology portfolios beyond CLM.
• Strong analytical, systems-thinking, project-management, change-management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Legal Operations experience in gaming, interactive entertainment, digital media, or consumer technology.
• Direct experience with Ironclad, contract analytics, legal knowledge platforms, e-billing, or matter management.
• Experience with post-acquisition integrations, data migrations, outside counsel management, or legal department spend.
• Experience developing responsible-use standards or AI governance frameworks in a legal or regulated environment.
