Chief of Staff to VP of Legal (AI)

What you will do

• Serve as the legal team’s day-to-day partner for sales and commercial contract questions across MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and standard terms.
• Resolve requests covered by existing positions and policies, escalate matters requiring legal judgment, and improve the quality of inbound requests.
• Build legal workflows and processes with Revenue Operations, including contract lifecycle management, signature routing, authority, and notification processes.
• Create and maintain self-serve guidance so sales and other teams can answer routine questions independently.
• Handle inbound requests involving privacy, vendors, procurement, compliance, and routine corporate matters.
• Maintain and extend AI agents for contract review, NDA triage, data protection, and privacy questions; measure errors and define when human review is required.

Requirements

• Experience as a senior paralegal, contract manager, legal operations professional, or strong operator from an adjacent function.
• Hands-on experience with commercial contracts and sound judgment about negotiation risk, concessions, and escalation.
• Accurate, fast drafting skills and careful version control.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with a sales organization while maintaining established positions.
• Meaningful professional use of AI tools, with the ability to identify where AI saves time and where its output cannot be trusted.
• Comfort with ambiguity and building operational foundations from scratch.
