Junior Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
• Build features and enhancements from business and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot applications, resolve defects, and support performance optimization.
• Perform unit testing and support system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, and project teams.
• Maintain technical and functional documentation, participate in code reviews, and follow secure development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of Java, object-oriented design principles, and the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently and in a team, and adapt to new technologies and business environments.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the security clearance and site access approvals required for the role.

Nice to have

• Experience or academic exposure to Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of JUnit and familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, or CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, container technologies, or Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, or modern application architectures.
