Lead Healthcare Analyst (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: United States; fully remote with approximately 5% travel

Salary: $112,000–$125,000 annually, plus benefits and bonus

What you will do

• Develop analytics and insights that improve clinical programs, care quality, patient outcomes, utilization, and spending efficiency.
• Lead clinical analytics projects, translating business needs and clinical requirements into analytical and reporting solutions.
• Perform statistical data mining and predictive modeling on administrative and clinical healthcare data.
• Track cost, utilization, industry trends, and product performance to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical, account management, data science, engineering, and other multidisciplinary partners on product features and client support.
• Document analyses, present recommendations to leadership, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in big-data analytics and at least 2 years of hands-on project leadership in healthcare.
• Experience working with healthcare systems, medical terminology, clinical workflows, medical claims, pharmacy, and eligibility data.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis and modeling tools such as SQL and Python.
• Experience developing dashboards and self-service business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
• Experience owning complex projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, defining goals, and meeting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a quantitative discipline such as Epidemiology, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or Public Health.

Nice to have

• Experience with specialty-care clinical and utilization management programs.
• Experience working with unstructured EMR/EHR data, including office visit notes and imaging reports.
• Familiarity with AWS Athena and SageMaker.
• Master’s degree in a healthcare or quantitative field.
