Software Engineer

Location: New York City office; in-person collaboration required at least three days per week

Annual base pay: $111,600–$229,000 USD

What you will do

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation.
• Design, implement, and deploy scalable and reliable systems for the customer platform.
• Develop storage systems, libraries, and frameworks.
• Improve products, systems, engineering practices, and product features through proactive technical contributions.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues and partners across the company.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, validating generated output and maintaining ownership of its correctness, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent college-level education.
• At least one year of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Fluency in Java, C++, Python, or a similar programming language; development primarily uses Java and Go.
• Ability to critically evaluate technical solutions and AI-generated code.
• Sound judgment regarding data privacy, intellectual property, security, and confidential information when using AI tools.
