Collections Specialist

Location: Remote - USA; candidates must reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts, or West Virginia.

What you will do

• Contact customers by phone, fax, email, and letter to bring delinquent accounts current.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and complete system-assigned collection tasks within established deadlines.
• Reconcile and apply customer payments and process payments from delinquent customers.
• Research billing concerns, misapplied payments, and recurring account issues, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Negotiate payment arrangements or settlements and coordinate with Management and Sales to resolve outstanding receivables.
• Process write-offs, bad debt recoveries, and credit memos while accurately documenting account activity.

Requirements

• Residence in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts, or West Virginia is required.
• At least 2 years of collections or relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of collections transactions and processes.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
