Press Operator 2 - 1st Shift

Location: Monroe, Wisconsin, United States; on-site, 1st shift Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Salary: $25.00–$28.50 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain multiple press machines.
• Perform make-ready tasks, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders for imperfections and verify image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet print quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses, including minor repairs and replacement of worn or broken parts.
• Perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine appropriate press settings, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to make precise control settings and operational adjustments.
• Experience with routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Knowledge of packing pressure requirements for different printing jobs.
• Ability to use a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.
