What you will do

• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot production, development, and laboratory SolarWinds environments.
• Design and maintain monitoring for routers, switches, firewalls, WAN, VPN infrastructure, telecommunications environments, and critical network services.
• Manage device onboarding, validation, inventory reconciliation, lifecycle updates, and decommissioning across SolarWinds and CMDB systems.
• Build operational dashboards, executive reports, availability and performance reporting, and actionable alerting strategies.
• Develop PowerShell automation for onboarding, inventory management, interface maintenance, reporting, and recurring operational workflows.
• Support platform architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, production incident response, and monitoring modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience administering SolarWinds or comparable enterprise network monitoring platforms.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience; a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• Experience with SolarWinds NPM, NCM, Network Insight, SNMP, device discovery, alerting, reporting, and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience, including SQL, JSON, XML, REST APIs, and data validation.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations, CMDB processes, production operations, and troubleshooting infrastructure dependencies.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching, firewalls, VPN technologies, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and network security fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Utility industry monitoring and NERC CIP environment experience.
• ServiceNow ITOM, enterprise network operations, monitoring platform architecture, and infrastructure monitoring design.
• Enterprise reporting, vendor management, or SolarWinds Certified Professional experience.
