Morning Show Producer, NBC Bay Area

Location: San Jose, California; required to work full-time onsite from an hirify.global-designated worksite

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce a fast-paced, informative morning newscast covering breaking news, weather, traffic, and community stories.
• Build and continuously update rundowns as news develops.
• Write clear, conversational, and accurate copy under tight deadlines.
• Coordinate with anchors, reporters, assignment editors, weather and traffic teams, digital staff, and production crews.
• Develop creative storytelling formats and integrate streaming, digital, and social content.
• Make rapid editorial decisions while maintaining accuracy and fairness standards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of regular newscast producing experience in a television newsroom.
• Experience building rundowns, producing live newscasts, and handling breaking news.
• Strong news writing, organizational, communication, and editorial judgment skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Availability for overnight and early-morning hours, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

• Experience producing morning news in a mid-to-large market newsroom.
• Familiarity with the Bay Area and its communities.
• Experience producing content for streaming, digital, and social platforms.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
