Location: On-site in New Albany, Ohio, United States. Work requires a twelve-hour uninterrupted rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, plus on-call responsibilities and callouts.
Salary: $74,551–$128,689 per year, depending on classification: SG6 $74,551–$93,188; SG7 $87,633–$109,544; SG8 $98,993–$128,689.

What you will do
- Support coordination with RTOs, generator operators, generation dispatch, and transmission dispatch centers during system emergencies.
- Coordinate congestion relief for overloaded transmission facilities and arrange off-cost generation dispatch for local constraints.
- Update daily operating plans with current system topology and rerun contingency analyses to verify acceptable operating limits.
- Coordinate scheduled outage changes, facility returns to service, and restoration of customers and the transmission system after unplanned emergencies.
- Monitor and maintain real-time and contingent transmission voltages, including requesting operation of capacitor banks, reactors, and other devices.
- Monitor interchange metering, maintain detailed operational records, test communications facilities, and issue required notifications for interruptions and abnormal conditions.
Requirements
- Two-year degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a related field, or a high school diploma combined with qualifying power-system operating experience.
- Experience requirements vary by classification: no experience for SG6, six months as an SCC Reliability Coordinator or equivalent experience for SG7, and one year as an SCC Reliability Coordinator or equivalent experience for SG8.
- Must pass the System Operator/Power Dispatching II test.
- Must acquire NERC certification within nine months and, for the senior classification, maintain Transmission Operator or Reliability Coordinator certification plus applicable RTO credentials.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and complete required progression training.
- Must communicate clearly, work effectively under pressure and in a team environment, make rapid decisions during critical conditions, and follow safety procedures.
