Android Team Lead (Fintech)

Location: On-site, 5 days per week in Richardson, Texas, United States

What you will do

• Lead the technical direction and delivery of client Android engagements.
• Design, implement, test, and deliver large-scale consumer banking applications.
• Build mobile capabilities for customer onboarding, account management, money movement, new markets, and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Guide architecture, development best practices, technology adoption, and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, designers, product owners, technologists, users, and leadership.
• Develop engineers' autonomy and effectiveness while remaining hands-on when needed.

Requirements

• 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex commercial software systems.
• 4+ years leading Agile teams.
• Expert-level Android development experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience in consumer banking, including account management and onboarding.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, mobile UI/UX, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with fraud management, KYC, AML, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience using on-device biometrics for authentication.
• Published applications available through the Google Play Store.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot.
