Software Engineer 3 – Mobile App - Kotlin Required

Location: Hybrid, four days onsite at the North Scottsdale, Arizona office

What you will do

• Lead development of complex Android features and system components for consumer-facing hotel applications.
• Provide technical direction on Android best practices, code quality, performance, scalability, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, Analytics, and Backend partners to deliver mobile features.
• Drive CI/CD, automation, observability, reliability, documentation, and architecture initiatives.
• Support production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Android application development experience with Java and Kotlin.
• 5+ years of source control and collaborative code workflow experience.
• Experience shipping and maintaining applications in the Google Play Store.
• Experience with transactional, mission-critical, consumer-facing mobile applications.
• Experience with unit, UI, and automated integration testing, build tools, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, real-time communication, and mobile security.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, or Swift.
