Nuclear Engineer

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio, United States; onsite

Develops and deploys sensing and monitoring equipment for harsh environments, including radiation measurement, nuclear reactor monitoring, UV flame detection, and downhole sensing.

What you will do

• Conduct engineering analyses, simulations, and performance evaluations.
• Design, test, and oversee nuclear systems and related processes.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety regulations, industry standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
• Review technical documentation and prepare engineering reports.
• Develop procedures for handling radioactive materials and waste.
• Collaborate with product leadership, quality, manufacturing, functional teams, and customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of relevant experience desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Applied Physics, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of reactor physics, thermodynamics, and radiation protection.
• Familiarity with nuclear regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Experience in nuclear power plants, research facilities, or regulatory environments.
• Skills in technical analysis, data interpretation, risk assessment, customer interface, and regulatory compliance.

Nice to have

• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP.
• Professional certifications held or in progress, such as FE, EIT, PE, or equivalent.
