Construction Oversight Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Remote; 15–30% travel required. The salary range is specific to Seattle, Washington.

Salary: $131,828–$171,206 per year, with eligibility for discretionary short-term incentive payments.

What you will do

• Develop regulatory oversight procedures for the Kemmerer Unit 1 project and other Natrium units.
• Conduct technical inspections and provide construction oversight using U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and procedures.
• Review quality assurance programs to confirm compliance with applicable requirements and commitments.
• Oversee suppliers and help ensure readiness for NRC inspections.
• Identify regulatory issues, communicate findings across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and quality assurance organizations, and recommend resolution paths.
• Lead scheduling for oversight and inspection activities and analyze trends for management action.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years of experience in nuclear regulatory compliance, including 10 CFR regulations, guidance, and NRC reactor inspections for operating or construction projects.
• Ability and willingness to follow strict quality assurance standards.
• Strong communication, organization, deadline-management, integrity, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform extended sitting or standing, prolonged repetitive work, visual and audio-focused tasks, and moderate physical exertion including lifting up to 25 pounds.
