Senior Analyst (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: New York, NY

Annual base salary: $110,000–$125,000, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support the origination, structuring, and distribution of senior CRE loans, mezzanine debt, B-notes, and other subordinate credit products.
• Prepare investor term sheets, marketing materials, syndication books, due diligence packages, and offering materials.
• Coordinate investor outreach, allocations, closing logistics, and placement of horizontal risk retention interests.
• Support private placement transactions and coordinate rating agency, legal, risk retention, and documentation activities.
• Coordinate the transitional lending partnership with an external hedge fund, including deal flow, funding schedules, eligibility screening, and performance reporting.
• Build financial models, pricing grids, and distribution analytics while monitoring pipeline, hold positions, market conditions, and investor appetite.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, underwriting, loan syndication, debt capital markets, CMBS/CRE CLO, bridge lending, or structured credit distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of CRE loan structures across the capital stack and familiarity with securitization and risk retention concepts.
• Excellent financial modeling, quantitative, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency is required.
• Ability to manage multiple live transactions and external partner relationships under tight deadlines; Series 7/63 may be required depending on placement activities.

• Experience with external counterparties, co-lending, forward flow, or participation arrangements.
