Consultant - Customs and Trade Compliance

What you will do

• Coordinate export technology determinations and import classification research for major projects and products.
• Lead Connected Vehicle Preparation and Coordination, including Declarations of Conformity, Specific Authorizations, and government communications.
• Manage Trade Research for New Model Preparation using HTS classification knowledge.
• Coordinate the annual Export Control Technology Review and update processes for new technologies using ECCN and ITAR classification knowledge.
• Monitor changing import and export regulations and support Global Trade Management systems, interfaces, and research tools.
• Drive process improvement to make import and export compliance more efficient and effective.

Requirements

• Subject matter expertise in federal regulations for connected vehicles, import, export, or related trade compliance areas.
• Knowledge of internal processes supporting compliance with government import and export requirements.
• At least 5 years of industry-specific experience or 3+ years of hirify.global experience.
• Experience managing projects and delivering work accurately and on time.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and excellent presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree, with leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills for working with stakeholders and government agencies.

Nice to have

• Licensed Customs Broker credentials or import/export industry certifications such as CUSECO.
• Graduate degree.
